Our story

The Simple Flower blossomed in 2021 with two sisters searching for more balance in the time of the pandemic: through flowers, plants, and pottery.

We have a philosophy of old techniques and new passion. In each arrangement we practice the 600 year old art of Ikebana, “to give life to flowers.” With the hope to bring you closer to nature. We celebrate our pottery which is done by local artisans in the Greater Boston area.

Our flowers

We work with three local and five overseas farmers to source the blooms and plants that make up our arrangements to curate the perfect color palate and texture. Our flowers are human—from the farmers who harvest our plants, to the artists who put passion and care into each arrangement they make.
